Multi-Branch Cafés

The queue melts at order speed

Oat milk, extra shot, syrup — choices are written into the order and read off the bar screen. Extra charges land on the check, closing the bar's revenue leak.

In a café the queue is created by order complexity: oat milk, an extra shot, two pumps of syrup. Passed on by voice these choices are both slow and wrong. Flowisma Resto writes them into the order, the barista reads them off the screen, and branch comparison shows which location is getting what right.

Challenges

What slows you down on the floor?

Queues at peak hours

As taking orders and closing payments drags on, customers wait; the most profitable hours pass at a loss.

Stock disconnected between branches

Which ingredient ran out at which branch is only understood at the end of the day; inter-branch transfers happen without a plan.

High staff turnover

Teaching the system to a frequently changing team every time takes time; permission confusion breeds errors.

The Flowisma Solution

Modules for Multi-Branch Cafés

The tools you need on one platform, working together seamlessly.

QR Menu & Self-Order

The customer orders from the table themselves; waiter traffic and order errors drop.

Fast Register (POS)

A touch-friendly screen and practical product selection — payment closes in seconds.

Bar/Kitchen Screen

Orders drop onto the preparation screen instantly; a ready item goes out without waiting.

Critical Stock Alerts

Milk, beans, syrup — an ingredient that drops below its threshold triggers a per-branch alert.

Fast Login with PIN

New staff start working within minutes with their PIN; permissions come from their role.

Loyalty & Campaigns

With points and segment-based campaigns, regular customers come back.

Option Groups

Oat milk, extra shot, syrup — all inside the record

A café sells dozens of versions of the same drink. Written as free text those choices go unread by the barista and unbilled by the till.

  • Required groups such as milk choice must be selected before the order completes
  • Lactose-free, almond and oat options carry their own price difference
  • You decide the maximum number of syrups that can be chosen
  • Choices appear on the bar screen as instructions; drinks are not remade
  • Extra charges land on the check automatically — the most common leak at the bar closes

Peak Hours

The queue melts at the speed of order entry

Thirty seconds lost in the morning rush is a guest walking back out the door. The QR menu and the till share the same data.

  • Guests place their own orders from the table; the till focuses on payment
  • A touch-friendly till screen keeps best sellers within reach
  • Orders reach the bar screen instantly — no paper is carried
  • Staff sign in with a PIN; a new hire starts working within minutes

Branch Comparison

Same brand, different results — the reason is in the data

Two branches sell the same menu, yet one earns more. The difference usually sits in waste, portioning or staff efficiency.

  • Critical ingredients such as milk, beans and syrup are tracked per branch
  • Recipe-based stock deduction makes over-pouring visible
  • Product-level margin is compared across branches
  • Loyalty and campaign results are reported per branch

FAQ

Multi-Branch Cafés businesses ask

How do I charge for plant-based milk?

Define milk choice as an option group and give each option its own price difference. When a guest picks oat milk the difference lands on the check automatically, and the barista sees on the bar screen which milk to use.

Can I update the menu across all branches at once?

You can push the QR menu design and recipes to selected branches in one action. Pricing stays with the branch — for chains with district-based pricing this is a deliberate choice.

Does the loyalty programme work across branches?

Points are held per store. A shared points pool across branches does not exist today; chains that need it would require separate work. That is the honest answer right now.

What happens if the internet drops during peak hours?

The screen stays up, an offline banner appears, and everything recovers on its own once the connection returns. New data cannot be entered during the outage. An offline order queue is deliberately on hold until real usage data is collected.

Staff turnover is high — how much training is involved?

Staff sign in with a PIN and see only their own role's screens. A barista does not see finance, a server does not see the till. What has to be learned is picking a product and ticking options.
