Bars & Nightlife
Right check even through the noise
Guests write their own order from their phone and the fake-QR trap is closed by design. Denomination counts and an unalterable ledger keep cash gaps off the morning.
In a bar, noise produces wrong orders, crowds produce tangled checks, and the end of the night produces cash differences. All three come from the same source: information carried by voice. Flowisma Resto takes the order from the guest's own phone, keeps open checks live, and counts the till note by note at closing.
Challenges
What slows you down on the floor?
Order errors over the noise
When the music is loud, a verbal order is misheard; the wrong drink is both a cost and a lost customer.
Open tabs slip away
Table tabs left open through the night are forgotten or mixed up at closing.
End-of-night register discrepancy
When cash/card payments taken at a hectic pace are recorded haphazardly, the Z report doesn't balance.
The Flowisma Solution
Modules for Bars & Nightlife
The tools you need on one platform, working together seamlessly.
QR Ordering from the Table
The customer types their order on their phone — noise doesn't produce order errors.
Open Tab Tracking
Each table's open check is monitored live; no tab is left forgotten.
Call a Waiter
The guest calls a waiter with a single tap; the staff bell shows which table it came from.
Fast & Split Payment
The check closes with a single tap or divided person by person; every payment is on record.
End-of-Day / Z Report
At closing, the register count and end-of-day summary are pulled from the system — any discrepancy shows instantly.
Permission Control
Complimentary items, cancellations and refunds only for authorized roles; every action is written to the log.
Noise
An order shouted across a bar comes back wrong
With the music up, what the server hears and what the guest said are rarely the same. Once the order is written down, that loss disappears.
- Guests write their own order from the QR code on the table
- Options are ticked from a list: no ice, double, which tonic — all recorded
- The order reaches the bar screen instantly; no paper is carried
- Calling a server is one tap and the screen shows which table rang
Secure QR
No fake sticker can be placed over your table code
Fake QR codes stuck onto tables in busy venues are a real fraud method. Generating the code on the server's own screen closes that door.
- The server shows the table's code from their own screen; it is generated at that moment
- The code refreshes itself shortly after — a photographed code is useless
- However many times it refreshes, orders accumulate on the same table's check
- Your printed codes keep working; both methods can be used together
End of Night
Cash differences should not wait until morning
If nobody can answer who took over the till and with how much, a difference always turns into an argument. The shift chain puts that on record.
- A denomination count is taken at shift open and the handover chain is recorded
- Which staff member each payment was credited to is on record
- Comps, cancellations and refunds are permission-bound and written to the ledger
- The end-of-day report with its payment breakdown is ready at closing
- The ledger cannot be altered afterwards — corrections are added as separate entries
Flow
A busy night with Flowisma
A table tab opens
The table session starts with the first order; items are added via QR or the waiter.
Tracked all night
All open tabs on one board — which table owes how much, visible live.
The check is requested
The guest taps 'Request Check' from QR; a notification drops to the cashier.
Closing ends clean
The Z report is compared against the register; the discrepancy at end of day is zero.
FAQ
Bars & Nightlife businesses ask
If guests order from their phones, do I still need servers?
You do, but their job changes. Instead of taking orders they focus on service and on the guest. You can also switch QR ordering off entirely and use the menu as a showcase while servers keep taking orders.
What happens if a table with an open check is forgotten?
Open checks stay in the live list and appear as unpaid on the till screen; regardless of date they remain until payment is taken. At closing you can see at a glance which tables are still open.
Can I split a check per person?
Yes, checks can be closed in parts and each payment is recorded separately. Splitting item by item — this drink is mine, that one is yours — does not exist today, and we say so plainly.
Can I track stock by the bottle?
Yes. Ingredients are held in base units such as millilitres and are deducted automatically through cocktail recipes as they sell. Packaging and tare can be defined, and counts are blind, meaning the person counting does not see the expected figure.
Can I stop staff cancelling their own orders?
Yes. Cancellations, refunds and comps are permission-bound. Staff without permission cannot perform them, and every action is written to an unalterable ledger with who did it and when.
